Federal Stimulus Package Update

DWM submitted $6 million in requests for stimulus funding through GEFA. A total of $2 billion for drinking water projects and $4 billion for wastewater projects was distributed nationally and given to the states. As a result, most of Georgia's portion is going to small utilities that are drastically out of compliance with State and Federal clean water laws. DWM is getting some funding for water tank maintenance and repair and for a green energy project involving capture and reuse of methane gas at our R.M. Clayton facility.
