Non-drought Outdoor Water Use Schedule
The entire state of Georgia is now under a
non-drought schedule for outdoor water use.
Outdoor water use is now allowed three days a
week on assigned days based on address.
- Odd-numbered addresses can water on
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
- Even-numbered and unnumbered
addresses can water on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- There is no watering allowed on Fridays.
Residents may water at any time of the day on the
assigned days, but the Department of Watershed
Management urges residents not to water between
10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when evaporation can
create water loss without a corresponding benefit
to landscaping. DWM also reminds customers
that droughts are cyclical, and Georgians can
expect another one at some point in the future.
Therefore, customers are urged to continue conservation
practices as much as possible.
Be mindful that residential vehicle washing is
considered outdoor water use; residents should
follow the non-drought schedule above. Under
the new declaration, the City has resumed sale of
irrigation meters, which bill only water, and not
sewer, charges. For more information, contact
