WebConnect/Convenience Fee Update
DWM's WebConnect online payment system upgrade is in its
final testing stages and should be available within a few months.
WebConnect provides several new features for customers interested
in viewing or paying their bills, including the ability to set
up recurring payments, to make future payments that will occur
on specific dates, and to more easily manage and pay for multiple
water/sewer accounts.
Once WebConnect's upgrade is in place, DWM will begin implementing the $4.50 convenience fee
for certain types of payments. The convenience fee only applies to payments made over the phone or
via the Internet ("card not present" payments), although the fee is not applied for recurring payments.
Consequently, if you set up recurring payments to be made via the Internet, the fee will not apply.
Each time customers pay their bills over the phone or on the Internet, they will be informed if the
$4.50 convenience fee will be applied. Beginning September 1, WebConnect, our online payment system, will be upgraded to provide customers
with real-time water/sewer account access.
