Office of OperationsAdministrative Offices - 651 14th Street, Atlanta GA. The Office of Operations reflects the merger of the two largest offices – Wastewater Treatment and Collection and Drinking Water – into one utility operating Office. The Office oversees all aspects of the drinking water system, including raw water supply, treatment, distribution and water quality compliance and is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the City’s four wastewater treatment plants, four combined sewer overflow treatment facilities, 16 pump stations and the City’s more than 1,500 miles of sanitary and combined sewers. A main focus of the office will be the rapid delivery of customer service to all constituents and customers of the City of Atlanta. Water Quality and Compliance Atlanta’s drinking water has won national awards for its
quality, clarity and taste. The Department of Watershed Management
must provide well over 750 samples per month to the State of Georgia
for analysis of lead and copper, bacteria, turbidity, and 21 other
contaminants to assure water quality. Click
