Sheila C. Pierce, Deputy Commissioner

Ms. Pierce serves as Deputy Commissioner of Management, with oversight of the department’s Communications & Public Outreach, Contracting & Procurement and Human Resources functions. Ms. Pierce is a former US EPA Region IV employee, serving as Program Management Coordinator for the Superfund Program and Equal Opportunity Specialist for the construction grants program in the Water Management Division.

Most recently, she served as a regional consulting manager and vice president for a global engineering consulting firm, working with municipal water clients throughout the southeast. She has also served as Deputy County Manager, Purchasing Director and Assistant Director of Contract Compliance for Fulton County, Ga.
