How to Avoid Water Cut-offs

DWM wants to make sure that our customers understand why and when we terminate service and how to avoid service termination.

1) Pay your bill in full and by the due date each month. If you mail your bill, make sure to mail it far enough in advance of the due date that we receive it on time.

2) If you’re going to be out of town for an extended period, consider paying your water bill in advance. If, for example, your bill is usually $75 a month, consider doubling that amount to cover two month’s worth of bills. Any amount you pay over your actual bill is automatically credited to your account.

3) You must formally dispute any portion of your bill that you consider incorrect. You may either contact customer service at 404-658-6500 or visit our walk-in center at 55 Trinity Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30303 to begin the dispute proceedings.

4) If you have formally disputed an amount on your bill, continue to pay in full all billing charges/ amounts other than the disputed amount by the due date each month. Make sure you call customer service to check the status of your dispute.
