Customer Service | How to Start Your Water Service
Welcome! The Atlanta Department of Watershed
Management is pleased to provide you with water and sewer service for
your home or business. Please read the following guidelines for establishing
new service. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please
call our Customer Service line at (404) 658-6500.
1. If you are a rental customer (you do not own the property where you reside),
you will need the following to establish service:
a. Completed water service application
b. Notarized lease agreement from the owner
c. A deposit (generally $80, but varies depending upon meter size) and an
account establishment fee ($15).
2. If you are a property owner (you purchased
the property and have a settlement statement, warranty deed or security
deed to show as proof), you will need the following to establish service:
a. Completed water service application
b. Proof of ownership (Settlement statement, warranty
deed or security deed)
c. A deposit (generally $80, but varies depending upon meter size) and an
account establishment fee ($15).
