How Do I Start My Service?

Welcome! The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management is pleased to provide you with water and sewer service for your home or business. Please read the following guidelines for establishing new service. To download the start new water and sewer service form click here. Rental Customers: To establish service as renter you must apply in person at the City Hall Office located at
55 Trinity Avenue, SW
Suite 1650
Atlanta GA 30335

The following information below is required:

a. Notarized lease agreement from the owner or
b. Lease to purchase
b. A require deposit of $80.00, (varies depending upon meter size) and an account establishment fee of $15.00 must be paid at the time of request
c. A valid Georgia picture ID (Georgia driver’s license or military ID etc...)
d. A completed DWM APPLICATION FOR WATER / SEWER SERVICE Form


Property Owners: If you have recently purchased property, a copy of the Closing Statement, Settlement Statement and/or Warranty Deed is required to establish new service. Please contact our Customer Service Call Center at 404-658-6500 (Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 8:00pm EST), for deposit information and account establishment fees.
