Collier Road Water Main Extension Project • Connecting the existing 16-inch water main on the west side of the Collier Road bridge that crosses the CSX railroad to the existing 16-inch main on the east side of the bridge. • A new 16-inch water main will branch off from the existing 90-degree bend of the 16-inch water main on Collier Road at Dellwood Drive and approach the above-referenced bridge. • At the bridge, the water main will be reduced to 12 inches and will surface for installation atop the sidewalk of the bridge. • On the east side of the bridge, the 12-inch water main will be installed beneath the surface and will be increased to 16 inches. • The new 16-inch main will be connected to the existing 16-inch main at Arden Drive. Rockdale Pipeline has been contracted to perform the installation. Collier Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic and you may experience noise from equipment while construction takes place. We understand this work may be disruptive, but we will do our best to minimize any inconvenience to you. This work is a key part of the Clean Water Atlanta plan to ensure clean, safe drinking water for Atlantans and our downstream neighbors. If you have any questions, please contact us at 404-589-2674 or access our website at www.atlantawatershed.org. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the water system that serves your community.
