Marie Shadden, MPA, Director of Security and Safety

Marie Shadden served as Director of the Office of Safety and Security, responsible for the development and oversight of security and emergency response plans for the department’s water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities. Ms. Shadden, an emergency preparedness and management expert, has more than 30 years experience in security programs, training and development, OSHA and emergency response. She previously worked with a national consulting firm and developed training programs for the U.S.
Department of Justice and FBI to prepare criminal investigators and emergency first responders from police, fire and emergency medical services to perform safely in hazardous and contaminated environments.
