Traffic Advisory

Valve & Hydrant Program To Affect Downtown/Midtown Traffic
What:Valve & Hydrant assessment, testing and repair project will require Downtown/Midtown lane closures
Where:See map.  Work will begin on 14th Street between Peachtree Street and the Connector
When:9am - 4pm; Beginning Monday, June 1, and proceeding for approximately five months
Comments:City crews will begin the Downtown/Midtown portion of the three-year Valve & Hydrant Program to identify and examine the condition of all water system assets, enter the locations into a GIS database, and provide maintenance and repair as needed.   The work may require single-lane closures and parking restrictions in affected areas.  Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution and use alternate routes when possible.
