Traffic Advisory

City contractor crews will perform underground electrical work related to the upgrades at the City of Atlanta’s Hemphill Water Treatment Plant, which is located on Howell Mill Rd. In order to complete this work, a portion of Howell Mill Road will be closed between Huff Road and 17th Street. The road closure will begin on Friday, July 30 at 7 p.m. and last until Monday, August 2 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.

A detour will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Detour route is as follows: Howell Mill Road to 14th Street; 14th Street to Northside Drive; Northside Drive to 17th Street; and 17th Street back onto Howell Mill Road.
