The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) is preparing to repair a leak at the DWM 651 14th Street complex. It was determined that the leak was due to a failed joint on 36-inch pipe near the Hemphill Steam Pumping Station.

Based on the repair plan, it is not anticipated that water service will be interrupted. However, this repair is on critical infrastructure and near other assets critical to supply water to the distribution system. Out of an abundance of caution, DWM has notified all critical facilities, businesses and residents to initiate a continuity operations plan in the event of a loss of water service over the course of the repairs.
