NEWS RELEASE

THE CITY OF SANDY SPRINGS BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS NOW LIFTED FOR ALL IMPACTED AREAS

ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has now lifted the boil water advisory issued on Sunday, June 18, 2023, for all affected areas. Sampling has confirmed there was no contamination of the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.

The repairs have been completed on the 48-inch transmission main on Riverside Rd near the Don White Memorial Park in the City of Sandy Springs. Pressures are normal throughout the system.

DWM is dedicated to safeguarding the residents’ well-being throughout the City of Atlanta and the City of Sandy Springs. We apologize for any inconvenience that this issue has caused to the community.
