Update: Street Repairs to Close Portion of Piedmont Avenue

What:           Street repairs resulting in temporary road closure

Where:         Piedmont Avenue NE between 6th Street NE and 8th Street NE

When:         Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Comments:  Weather permitting, crews will make roadway repairs stemming from an eight-inch water main break on Piedmont Avenue NE, resulting in the temporary closure of the road between 6th Street NE and 8th Street NE. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible. The detour route is as follows: 6th Street east to Myrtle Street, travel northbound to 10th Street, and westbound to Piedmont Avenue.
