Water Main Repair Interrupts Water Service and Affects Traffic Lanes on Phipps Blvd.

What: Repair of a 16-inch water main resulting in temporary lane closures

Where:  769 Longleaf Drive between Wieuca Road NE and Lenox Road NE

When:  Thursday, January 4

Comments: Crews are repairing a 16-inch water main at 769Longleaf Drive, which has resulted in a temporary water outage affecting 2,000 residents and seven hydrants. Residents and businesses in the affected area are encouraged to be prepared.

The repairs have also resulted in two temporary lane closures on Phipps Blvd. between Lenox Rd. and Longleaf Dr. In an abundance of caution, sand and salt have been distributed over the icy area, but motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
