Sewer System Evaluation
What: The Department of Watershed Management will conduct a smoke test of the sewer system as part of the system evaluation
Where: Affected streets during the system evaluation include:
- 1316 Oakland Drive SW
- 1259 Graymont Drive SW
- 235 Candler Road SE
- 15-32 4th Avenue NE
- 50-67 Willow Wood Circle SE
- 91 Lakeview Drive NE
- 2444, 2450, 2460 Hosea L. Williams Drive NE
When: Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and last until the repair is completed
Comments: Crews will perform an emergency sewer main repair at 551 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW between Maple Street NW and Walnut Street NW, resulting in a road closure. Work is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Road will remain closed until repair is complete. Traffic control measures and signs are in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
Detour: Traveling west bound on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, turn right on Maple Street NW, left on Jones Avenue NW, left on Walnut Street NW, and right on to Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW.
Traveling east bound on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, turn left on Walnut Street NW, turn right on Jones Avenue NW, turn right on Maple Street NW, and right on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW.
