BOIL WATER ADVISORY STILL IN EFFECT FOR NANCY CREEK RD. & NORTHSIDE PARKWAY AREA
ATLANTA – Following the restoration of water service in the Nancy Creek Road and Northside Parkway area, the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) issued a boil water advisory on Tuesday afternoon. In line with Georgia EPD guidelines, DWM is requesting to continue immediate water restriction to essential uses to allow system pressures to stabilize.
The recent water outage impacted the Northside Parkway corridor and adjacent residential and commercial areas near I-75, Northside Parkway, and Howell Mill Road, including multiple apartment complexes. DWM is closely monitoring system operations and pressure levels.
The boil water advisory will remain in place until DWM’s water samples meet all safety requirements. We are working to confirm this, and the advisory will be lifted as soon as possible, potentially later today. Residents can find a map of the impacted area below. To check if a specific address is under the advisory, please use the search bar on the interactive Public Alerts map.
The Department of Watershed Management is taking precautionary measures by implementing system flushing protocols and has conducted sampling in the affected areas to confirm no contamination. The Georgia EPD will advise DWM on when the boil water advisory can be lifted.
