The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has contracted Ruby-Collins, Inc. to perform a storm drain and water line replacement at 5 Krog Street NE as part of phase II of the Krog Street Tunnel Stormwater project. The work will begin on Sunday, June 11, 2023, and continue through July 2023 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Sunday- Saturday)

One sidewalk will remain open and accessible to pedestrians during the duration of the project. However, to ensure the safety of pedestrians, both sidewalks may be closed during certain construction activity.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling near the work zone. Residents will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up.

Detour:

Traffic heading east on Dekalb Avenue NE will turn left onto Cornelia Street SE, then right onto Edgewood Avenue SE and right onto Waddell Street NE.

Traffic heading west on Dekalb Avenue NE will turn right onto Waddell Street NE, then turn left onto Edgewood Avenue SE and left onto Boulevard SE.

Traffic heading west on Wylie Street will turn left onto Pearl Street SE, then right onto Memorial Drive SE.
