What: Temporary 24-hour road closure due to Sewer Mainline Rehabilitation

Where: 1925 Glenwood Ave. SE between S. Howard St. SE and Terry Mill Rd. SE (Dekalb County)

When: Monday, June 2, 2025, lasting approximately four – six weeks (if necessary), weather permitting. Operational Hours are Monday – Friday (Saturday if necessary & approved) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (maximizing daylight hours).

Comments: Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour:

Motorists traveling West on Glenwood Ave. SE, take a right onto Second Ave. SE heading towards Memorial Dr. SE. Take a left onto Memorial Dr. SE heading towards S. Howard St. SE. Take a left onto S. Howard St. SE heading towards Glenwood Ave. SE. Take a right onto Glenwood Ave. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling East on Glenwood Ave. SE, take a left onto S. Howard St. SE traveling towards Memorial Dr. SE. Take a right onto Memorial Dr. SE heading towards Second Ave. SE. Take a right onto Second Ave. SE heading towards Glenwood Ave. SE. Take a right onto Glenwood Ave. SE to end the detour.

The following streets will be accessible during the road closure: Evan Davis Way SE, Terry Mill Rd. SE, Lomita Rd. SE, and Bernice St. SE

Residential and business traffic flow within the community will be accommodated accordingly.
