Temporary Road Closure Near 1836 Indiana Ave. NE due to Sewer Main Line Repair
What: Temporary Road closure due to point repair to sewer main line
Where: 1836 Indiana Ave. NE between Connecticut Ave. NE and Matthews Ave. NE
When: Tuesday, December 5, 2023, for approximately two – four weeks, weather permitting. Operational hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Comments:
Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible.
Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.
Detour:
Motorists traveling South on Matthews Ave. NE: will turn right onto New York Ave. NE then turn right onto Connecticut Ave. NE ending the detour.
Motorists traveling East on Indiana Ave. NE: will turn right onto Connecticut Ave. NE then turn left onto New York Ave. NE. Motorists will then turn left onto Matthews Ave. ending the detour.
