Temporary 24-Hour Road Closure Near 289 Mathews Ave. NE due to Sewer Main Line Repair

What: Temporary Road closure due to emergency repair to sewer main line

Where: 289 Mathews Ave. NE between Indiana Ave. NE and New York Ave. NE

When: Monday November 6, 2023, for approximately two – four weeks, weather permitting. Operational hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Comments:

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible.

Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour:

Motorists traveling South on Mathews Ave. NE: Motorists will turn right onto Indiana Ave. NE then turn left onto Connecticut Ave. NE. Motorist will then turn left onto New York Ave. NE then right back onto Mathews Ave. NE ending the detour.

Motorists traveling North on Mathews Ave. NE: Motorists will turn left onto New York Ave. NE then turn right onto Connecticut Ave. NE. Motorists will then turn right onto Indiana Ave. NE then left back onto Mathews Ave. NE ending the detour.
