What: Temporary Road closure due to sewer main line replacement construction

Where: 1679 Defoor Ave. NW between Marvin St. and Springer St. NW

When: Friday, September 15, 2023, for approximately four – six weeks, weather permitting. Operational hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Comments:

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. Businesses near the work zone will continue to be accessible.

Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will continue to be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour:

Motorists traveling West on Defoor Ave. NW will turn right onto Springer St. NW then left onto Harper St. NW. Motorists will then turn left onto Marvin St. NW then right again onto Defoor Ave. NW ending the detour.

Motorists traveling East on Defoor Ave. NW will turn left onto Marvin St. NW then right onto Harper St. NW. Motorists will then turn right onto Springer St. NW and turn left onto Defoor Ave. NW ending the detour.
