DWM Crews Working In Anticipation of Inclement Weather
Due to a strong low-pressure system that may produce heavy rainfall, high winds, and potentially localized flooding, Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews have been working to ensure that stormwater catch basins and inlet structures are open and free of debris/sediment and especially in areas prone to flooding during heavy rain events.
Staff have also worked to secure all active work sites, as well as ensure that all remote monitoring stations and cameras are operational. Crews will continue to actively monitor flood prone areas during the course of the event. We have also implemented our Storm Preparedness Plan for the department’s treatment facilities to ensure continuity of operations and compliance. We will have crews and supporting resources working around the clock to address any issues that may arise.
