Roadway Work to Close Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard Intersection

What:    Temporary closure for roadway repairs due to water main break

Where:  Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW at Jefferson Street NW intersection & Jefferson Street between Lindsay Street NW and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW

When:    Sunday, Dec, 17 until roadwork is complete

Comments: 

Crews will perform roadway work resulting in a temporary road closure to through traffic.  Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible. A water main break was repaired on Dec. 16.

Detour:  Northbound traffic: From Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW, turn left onto Jefferson St NW to Marietta Blvd, turn right onto Marietta Blvd NW and then turn right onto West Marietta St NW.

Southbound traffic: Travel west onto W. Marietta St NW, turn left onto Marietta Blvd NW, then left onto Jefferson St NW and then onto Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW intersection.

Please note that Joseph E Lowery Blvd NW will be open to local traffic only from West Marietta St NW. Local traffic seeking to access Jefferson St NW to east of Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW may use Bedford St NW.
