Water Main Repair to Interrupt Water Service and Close Two Traffic Lanes on Glen Iris Drive

What: Repair of an 8-inch water main resulting in temporary lane closures

Where: 620 Glen Iris Drive (Ponce De Leon to North Avenue)

When: Wednesday, January 3, 2018 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Comments: Crews will make repairs to an 8-inch water main at Glen Iris Drive, which will result in a temporary water outage that will affect all business and residents on the west side of Glen Iris Drive from Ponce de Leon to North Avenue. Those affected include at least 700 residents from three apartment complexes and three fire hydrants. Residents and businesses in the affected area are encouraged to be prepared.

The repairs will also result in two temporary lane closures on Glen Iris Drive from Ponce de Leon to North Avenue. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
